SPECIFICATION

General Description of the Yacht

EXTERIOR

The concept for the SilverYachts SC22M originated from a conversation between designer Espen Øino and Guido Krass, the owner of SilverYachts, over 10 years ago.

They were discussing the numerous yachts that would spend their entire summer at anchor in Cala di Volpe, Sardinia, essentially functioning as floating homes. This conversation sparked an innovative idea: "We started looking at something quite radical, which was literally a houseboat," recalls Øino. "You find them in rivers or ports in Paris or Seattle in very sheltered waters.

We then started toying with the idea of how we could design a floating villa." They decided that a multihull design would be the most suitable, as it would provide more deck space for living areas. "You have more deck space, which is more suitable for living areas than down in the hull," Øino adds.

As the ideas developed and practical considerations came into focus, such as water treatment, hotel loads, and the ability to move the structure in an emergency, the vision for the project evolved into the SC22M.

SilverCat design inherently provides more living space compared to traditional monohulls, and SilverCat capitalizes on this advantage to offer more expansive interior and exterior space that epitomize luxury and freedom. SC22M with 180 GT is comparable to 25 to 30 meter monohulls.

Minimum layout changes are still possible. The buyer can still choose to 4 cabin version in lower deck with galley on main deck or big galley downstair of 3 cabins layout. Interior is still available for customization.

Delivery 12 months from contract signing.
